Following a recent lesson on layering (watercolor), I received this note from Katie Siryj. who created this beautiful work!

The negative painting lesson with transparent colors was an excellent way to learn how color layering can create many rich color combinations and, also, add dimension to a painting. The subject is seasonally appropriate for the Northern hemisphere, too. September is the start of the fall season and, through a process of photosynthesis, leaves begin to change color. Thanks for the thoughtfully considered and fun lesson on negative painting. 🙂
